  • Class 4

    Welcome to Class 4.

This Year 5 and 6 mixed-age class is taught by Miss Wright. As the oldest children in school, here at St. Mary's, we aim to enable our pupils to flourish into resilient, enthusiastic and curious learners in preparation for the next step in their educational journeys.

    What we are learning:

Below you will find our current learning overview. We are currently working on Summer 2–2025. This half-term, the children are studying rivers and river systems in geography and have enjoyed partaking in recent fieldwork on our residential visit to Hathersage.

    Important news from Class 4:

It's a very exciting time of year right now as members of Class 4 prepare for their transitions to Year 6 and 7. The pupils in Year 6 have recently embarked on their initial visits to their new secondary schools and will also be attending a celebratory 'Stepping Up' event at Southwell Minster in the coming weeks to reflect on their primary journey.

All the children in Class 4 are currently preparing for their end-of-year performance of Craig Hawes, 'Rock Bottom', which takes place during the Stone Age.
