Our vision for Physical Education

At the heart of our Physical Education curriculum is the belief that every child should be inspired to be curious, courageous, and compassionate. We aim to foster a love of physical activity by offering diverse, inclusive, and progressive opportunities for all pupils. We are committed to nurturing the whole child and equipping them with the skills, values, and attitudes they need for life.

We encourage curiosity through exploration and reflection. Children learn to ask questions, try new things, and develop a genuine interest in movement and health. We promote courage by creating a safe and supportive environment where children are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, take risks, and learn from both success and failure. We teach children to be compassionate and supportive teammates, to celebrate difference, and to contribute to an inclusive, positive sporting culture.

Inspiring our children

Children will be encouraged to learn about inspirational sports people from around the world such as Sir Mo Farah, the legendary cyclist Sir Jason Kenny and the Olympic gold medal-winning hockey captain Kate Richardson-Walsh who are all celebrated for their achievements, leadership, and dedication.
